Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park is otherwise called the “little zoo” that gives shelter to different animals, birds and reptiles. With the total coverage of 506 sq km, the National Park also boasts for its rich flora.

Out of the aggregate region, the national park covers a territory of 353.62 sq km on the whole from two areas of Andhra Pradesh, in particular Chittoor and Cuddapah. The park hosts 168 mammals, 349 birds, and 138 reptiles.

Zoo Restaurant named ‘VANAM’ with guest civilities has been developed before the main gate with facilities of Conservation Education, Visitor accommodation, Child play zone, Souvenir Stall, Cafeteria, and parks to facilitate various guests to the Zoo.

Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park is arranged in the Eastern Ghats over the Chittoor and Cuddapah regions of Andhra Pradesh.

Established as a National Park in 1987, Sri Venkateswara National Park covers a region of 5532 acres. The national park is home to a some of the best waterfalls in the state. The valleys and gorges of this park are constantly watered by the pristine waterfalls of Talakona, Gundalakona, and Gunjan. These waterfalls are likewise the principal wellspring of water for the wild creatures in the recreation center which incorporate a wide assortment of mammals, reptiles, birds, and insects.

Sri Venkateswara National Park is named after Lord Venkateswara, the ‘Master of Seven Hills’. One can pay respect at the Tirumala Venkateswara Temple, which is situated nearby.

In spite of the fact that the climate would be hot, for better creature sightings, the best time to visit Sri Venkateswara National Park is in the mid-year periods of April and May during which the creatures turn out from their spreads to the water gaps. To see the waterfalls in its full magnificence, visit the park right after the rains in September.
